Privacy Statement
Appsolutions handles your data with care, as well as the data in the applications you entrust to us. This statement explains what we process, why, and what rights you have.
1. Who we are
Appsolutions
Daalwijkdreef 47, 1103 AD Amsterdam, the Netherlands
Chamber of Commerce (KvK): 34371496 · VAT: NL821706020B01
info@appsolutions.nl · +31 (0)20 820 4241
2. What data we process
Contact and submission form. Name, company name, email address, telephone number and your explanation, in order to assess your request and contact you.
Submitted files. FileMaker files you send us may contain personal data (for example, of your customers or employees). We use these exclusively for the analysis and conversion of your application, share them with no one, and delete them at your request, no later than three months after completion of the project. We agree on the login details for your application with you personally; never send them along via the form.
Client portal. Name, email address and a password, which we store only in encrypted form (as a hash).
Hosted applications. For the data your organisation enters into an application hosted by us, we are the processor and you are the controller. On request, we will enter into a data processing agreement with you.
Technical data. For each hosted application, we record only the number of active user accounts (to determine the correct subscription tier) and technical log files for security and troubleshooting.
3. Why we are permitted to process this data
We process data on the basis of: the performance of the agreement with you (conversion, hosting, support), our legitimate interest in a secure and properly functioning service, and legal obligations (such as the 7-year statutory tax retention period for invoice data).
4. How long we retain data
Submitted files: immediately on request, no later than three months after completion. Portal accounts: for as long as the client relationship lasts. Invoice and payment data: 7 years (legal obligation). Data in hosted applications: for as long as your subscription runs; upon termination, you receive a complete copy and we delete the environment.
5. With whom we share data
We never sell data. We work with a small number of service providers (sub-processors):
- Railway: hosting of the website and the applications (with data processing terms including EU standard contractual clauses)
- Stripe: payments and invoices; your payment details go directly through Stripe and do not reach our servers
- Cal.com: scheduling appointments
- Resend: sending system emails, such as password resets
- TransIP: domain registration and DNS
- Google Fonts: fonts on this website are loaded from Google's servers
- Google Ads: measuring whether an advertisement leads to an enquiry, only after your consent (see 7)
6. How we secure data
All connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only as an encrypted hash. Submitted files are kept in a protected environment that is not publicly accessible and can only be opened by us via short-lived, single-use access. Hosted applications are strictly separated per client, each with its own database and its own login environment.
7. Cookies
When you log in (client portal or administration), we use functional session storage in your browser, which disappears when you close your browser. No consent is required for this, because logging in does not work without this storage.
We count visits to this website with GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics service from the Netherlands. It records which pages are viewed, when, from which country and via which referring site, plus the browser type and screen size. GoatCounter does not place cookies, does not store your IP address and does not build a profile of you; we therefore cannot infer who you are from it. No consent is required for this. The data remains within the EU.
In addition, we use Google Ads to measure which advertisement leads to an enquiry. This happens only if you give your consent via the notice at the bottom of the screen. If you decline, or make no choice, no advertising cookies are placed and no data is sent to Google. We use this data exclusively to evaluate our own advertisements, not to track you on other websites. Your choice is stored in your own browser; you can withdraw it by clearing the site data for appsolutions.nl in your browser.
8. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability. Email us at info@appsolutions.nl. We respond within four weeks. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Dutch Data Protection Authority).
9. Changes
We may amend this statement; the current version is always available on this page, with the date of the most recent change at the top.
